Her background includes training in guitar and piano, which has strengthened the complexity of her ability in acoustic guitar and vocals. Liv's talents as a songwriter have been strengthened by travel and performances in places like Edmonton and Vancouver. She has performed for friends, family, cafes, local pubs and a performance at Pride 2009. In addition, she continues to tour on Vancouver Island, honing her skills in organizing and advertising her upcoming shows. It is exciting to follow the career of this young and astonishingly talented female artist as she reveals her many gifts and follows her desired path in life. “It was laying on the floor infront of the speakers as a child listening to the songs of Leonard Cohen, Sinead o’Connor, Bob Dylan and Neil Young that made me want to write songs even more...” “I often say music is my life, or rather an expression of what I experience. Music is healing and when I am singing out to people - I feel at home. ” Liv has been writing songs since she was thirteen years old. A way of expression that a diary just couldn’t get deep enough into and something conversation couldn’t express. It was when her words and sounds came together that the whole picture was created. She has performed mostly as a solo artist, but has collaborated with many other talented local musicians. The recordings of Liv’s songs have all been done alone her in space. “It’s not easy to record your own songs, but I enjoy learning” She said.
