“The Concrete” in this case is New York City, where Chrissi has made her way with music. She’s toured the world singing with Stax legend Sam Moore (Sam & Dave), and recently teamed up with Moby on his 2008 album release Last Night. Chrissi’s vocal excellence makes every project something special. Ask her to name a few of her favorite performances and she would likely mention winning the Apollo Theater’s Amateur Night in Harlem, singing with Sting, and a guest vocal performance with the Brian Blade Fellowship Band.
While her amazing voice is her primary instrument, Chrissi is the complete musician, adept at piano, guitar and drums. A fully actualized artist, Chrissi is currently performing songs from her new album in notable NYC venues such as The Living Room, The Rockwood Music Hall, City Winery, and The Metropolitan Room.
Chrissi was born and raised in a small town along the coast of Massachusetts, an influence that is just as strong a presence in her songwriting as her years as a working musician in New York.
