Paper Machete is the solo project of singer/songwriter Clifton Peotter of Mesa, AZ. Clifton says of this track on his upcoming album (where he writes and plays all the instruments in the recordings): "Break It Off is written around a friend of mine that I reconnected with after a long time and found him addicted to drugs. I wrote this song of what would've happened if he'd gotten off of them. They're all around how hard it must be to overcome drug addiction."
