Shooting High Dice

This song was originally recorded by The Mississippi Sheiks, a famous and immensely popular fiddle and guitar group of the 1930's. Like most of the Sheiks' repertoir this number was probably written by Walter Vinson and Sam Chatmon. A highly influential group, The Mississippi Sheiks penned the blues classic “Sittin' On Top of the World” and influenced such artists as Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters.
