Hello to my friends:
I am not ignoring you; I am neglecting you. Not “you” personally, ya’ understand, it’s just that there’s a lot going on. It’s all DIY these days—probably like it is with most of you.
My home studio is expanding. It’s only natural that a musician wants to have the right equipment in the right place at the right time.
The most recent challenge is the pesky problem of recording vocals without hearing myself bouncing all around the room. So, without the skills, but with the determination, up goes the plywood and foam.
There we have it! A suitable vocal booth where I can put my fancy-dancy column mic and have at it with the vocals whenever I want.
Previously, recording meant diving into the night hours and driving waaaayyyyyy over “there.” Seeing as how I have a regular day job, it seemed like I should be closer to the recording equipment.
So, I put it in my own house.
There ya’ have it!
That’s it for now, my friends.
Best wishes,
Keith Curtis
