The Canton City Ball's blog

The difference between...

When I was a child, i was told that if I loved something to hold it close to me, and keep it near. When I asked how I would know when I loved something, they told me that i wouldn’t. i asked how i’m supposed to know what to care for and what to hold close and dear if i would never know if i loved it. they told me never to treat anything or anyone differently, treat everything and everyone as if you loved it/them. Because the only way to really know if you loved it, is how you feel when it’s gone. and thats when it hurts if you loved it, and by then it’s too late. there will forever be an empty spot where that object or person once was, and nothing can fill that void. you’ll always be incomplete.

If you want to know if you love something, give it away, but be sure it’ll be better off without you, or else you’ll be miserable.
