I’m Ben Fisher, a 16 year old kid living in Bellevue Washington. I entered this site in an attempt to procure a spot to play at Bumbershoot this year, so please vote for me for that. I listen to Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Ryan Adams, Richard Thompson, Whiskeytown, and Fairport Convention religiously. I also dig old acoustic blues (Son House, R. Johnson, etc.) and I listen to the Goldberg Variations when I study. I read (Fitzgerald, Rimbaud, Ginsberg, Neruda, Steinbeck) I travel (Italy, Greece, Belize, Britain, France, Mexico, Scotland) Please keep in mind that these recordings have been made on a budget of well under $1000. The bass you hear is really my 200 dollar Samich Acoustic-Electric, and the electric is my Fender Squier. I use ProTools to record, but as you will find out, I’m not an expert at using it. I wanna play Bumbershoot. Help me out?
Still figuring out how to use this thing… I’ve heard some good music on here. I’m still dying for that Bumbershoot spot. It’s helpful that only people from the NW are eligible. Or Newport Folk Fest would work too!
