I have some great friends that I have met here on Ourstage- who are going to collaborate with me on a song-— but its a secret now- until its ready-— I am so looking forward to this, I almost want to spill the beans. I have thought about collaboration, just for the fun of trying it. :) Fun, Fun..
Found our wonderful Sparky cat by the side of the road this morning-— It just seems so soon after losing our dog Ginger….. She was the only cat here that put up with me getting a new puppy….. I feel like I’m grieving her and my Ginger again….. Sometimes its so hard risking, and loving, and the pain of having to let go— my heart is sick again….... :(
Yes, I have been here since the end of January, entering songs in Feb. competition and found a change in my focus, becoming more of a fan to the great artists both in music and video production than my own sharing of my music or hoping for a channel win…... The exposure to both sharing and receiving from others has been awesome. My expanded view on different ways of expressing music has grow by leaps and bounds. I am learning so much from others, I’m listening with an open mind and welcoming heart to all this site has to offer. I was so self focused at first on the competition, and if I had stayed that way…. I would have really missed out on the special gifts of others….. Thank you everyone!!!!!!
Well I tried being a good OurStage Crew person and found that its not for me. I found I love to check one or two people out that friends recommend but I don’t like a long list of people I ‘have’ to check out. I also found out I am too independent and want to check out who I want, when I want, and that I will continue to do this as there are so many gifted and beginning artist that I want to find and enjoy as friends and artists. I applaud all of you who are continuing your part as OurStage Crew members.
Wow, I am now a part of the “Stage Crew” to welcome new members…... I hope I will be up to this, but It is what I have been doing all along, only on my own….. I received my first list of artists to welcome and I’m off and running….. Look out newbee’s, I’m on the Prowl, But I will still continue to venture on my own, its what I do-— Peace and love to all :)
The very best thing this month by stepping out of competition early is that I can focus on new artists, stay in contact with my friends and favorite artists, and not be fretting over my own rankings….... And when voting, supporting the best to the top!!!!! :)
As an addicted ourstage fan, I have not gone one day for months not being on this site, except when I have been places with out internet, or storms have shut me off….... It was nice to go to Bob and Deb’s site today and just listen, while they take a short break and have their music up just for enjoyment this month…. I do go back regular to some of my favorites, just to stop in and listen, which is always a treat for me as there is so much I can learn about writing better songs myself and new kinds of musical ways to enhance future works that I want to do…. This site has inspired me so much, but it has also taken away hours of time that I ought to devote to creating more songs, ah, such is life, but onward we go….. Great day to all, LOL, :)
Well, today I got booted from spoken word channel. But the good think is, I knew I was singing more that talking this poem, and it was not a good recording-—so it motivates me to try something different in this area, as well as other genres I’d like to move toward and branch out from my little Folk music area, so thats a good thing…. Grow , change, rearrange- like a snake shedding an old skin… Even us old farts can continue to change and grow, hurrah!!!!!!! Lots of Love to all, :)
Little Lisa 03 has a blog I just finished reading that talks about- Do the Numbers Count- a very inspirational blog from an amazing young artist… I truly love all the young artists here bring they new music, and their creative energy to the world….. Actually I admire any one who has the desire to create and has a positive outlook and love of what they do…... I am an old fart still wanting to create and share, its what keeps me young!!!!!! On a side note, being new to the computer world I found out that LOL, originally meant Laughing Out Loud- which I thought LOL was Lots Of Love-So if I write LOL on anyones site I mean, LOL, so—-LOL to all, Peace and Joy on your journey to all. :)
