Pat Ramsey and the Blues Disciples' blog

We're Back in the running for August

We’ve up-loaded a new song for the month of August. “King Of Fools” was entered in the blues channel. I love this tune and it’s one of my favorites to play live. I hope you enjoy this tune as much as I do. Magic John (Of Bill Wharton & the Ingredients) wrote this song and said he wrote this song about Pat. Pat loved the words but didn’t think it should be a mid-tempo shuffle, as he had meant it to be. So Pat turned it into a slow blues song, and in my opinion it was the best move for this song.

“Powerful” and “Moving” as a blues song should be.

We missed all our friends at Ourstage for the month of July as Pat has been getting his health back in order. He’s doing better and maybe soon we’ll be able to play live again. We’re shooting for February of 2009!!

Also I like to say that this was Pat’s first solo CD and the Blues Disciples didn’t record on this song. The guitar parts were played by Prof. Julien Kasper Of the famed Boston’s Berklee College. Check out his site julienkasper.com

As always we wish all of you the best!! Steve Howell

Pat Ramsey is out of the Hos[ital

Hello to all,

Pat Ramsey was released from the hospital Saturday. He’s doing much better and wishes to thank all of you who were so kind with your thoughts and prayers. It meant so much and he was touched.

He’s back on his feet, moving around, and getting his life back to normal.

Update on Pat

Pat is doing better today, but he still has a long way to go. He wants to let everyone know he’s a fighter, and he’s going to do his best to get better. All his readings are getting better every day, so that’s good!!

He's being a good patient, and is treated with great care.
He feels all your love and wanted to thank all of you

Pat Ramsey is in the Hospital

Pat Ramsey was admitted to TCH Hospital in Tallahassee Fl. on Friday June 27th. His health is failing at a young age and all your thoughts and prayers would greatly be appreciated.

“Live at the Big Bend Blues Bash”

Pat Ramsey, Dave Renson, John Wentzien & Steve Howell deliver a scorching live set of blues on this new release.

"Live at the Grand"

Recorded live at the Grand Casino in Gulfport, MS. Every bet’s a winner when you gamble on this sizzling CD!

"It's About Time"

Ask Harmonica buffs which Johnny Winter album is their favorite, and I’ll lay odds that “White Hot & Blue” gets cited most often. Pat Ramsey’s harp work on that album is the reason why. Now Pat has released his own project, the aptly named “It’s About Time” — Tom Townsley, Blues Review
