A big THANK YOU to all here at OURSTAGE who’ve been voting for CALL ON ME By The AC Thundertones.

As I said before ALL the songs we’ve entered this month are my brother Johnny Zeee ALL the way. He wrote em, played all the instruments, sang ‘em and recorded and mastered them.

Though Johnny’s guitar playing style varies and his genres are all over the place as well, (me too), there is one common thread that runs through EVERY work that John Zarvis plays. That thread is: PASSION. Johnny plays everything as if it were his favorite song, and his passion is evident in ALL he does from studio session work to his own works.

This month I ask anyone who listens to CALL ON ME in the BLUES channel to paaalllleeeeze play it through to the end, or at least to Johnny’s utterly AMAZING guitar solo around 2/3rds of the way into the song.

Johnny’s use of “pulling” notes from his 57 Strat with the guitar’s volume control coupled with his choice of notes and style runs this song CALL ON ME to the top of the heap (in my opinion)for innovative guitar playing and a really unique take on conventional Blues guitar playing.

So check it out and give it a good listen. I PROMISE you that (if you play guitar) or even if your just into listening, Johnny Zeee’s CALL ON ME is a real treat to the ears and a whole new plate full of innovative modal ideas for the serious Guitarist.

Hi there OS Folks:

Just a quick note to let you know that we’ve uploaded some more music. We have entered a Gansta Rap tune called The Se7en Sins for August working with friend and rapper Pez-S on that project together. Also, we’ve uploaded the REMIX of SAY WHAT YOU MEAN which I feel is destined to be a Pop tune. There will be more to come but we wanted to let ya know what’s going on with da music.

Hi there OS Folks: Paulie Fingers here again. Just an FYI (that I didn’t know but when I found out I thought I’d pass it on to you). There are the video and audio clips for all those who won in the month of June (and every other month too I think). There’s HTML code to paste your audio or video – sort of like a small 10-20 second acceptance message – and you can post it anywhere on the web. I’m putting ours into my band’s main website. But enough!! CONGRATS to ALL the June winners, good luck to all the July contestants and we hope to hear some more GREAT music from everyone. Hi everyone at OURSTAGE:

The AC Thundertones were supposed to have a PARTYLINE listening party last night July 22nd @ 8PM and of ALL the nights my area lost power due to Thunderstorms! So….? We couldn’t do our own Partyline. To anyone who wanted to come in we apologize and will be making an actual “Rain Date” to get this Partyline rolling. It’s quite ironic though…The AC Thundertones get knocked out by Albany County ThunderSTORMS!! Sheeeesh!

The AC Thundertones are goig for broke this month with about 7 or so different antries in diffrent channels. Thanks for all your support and please don’t be shy. Hi folks at OURSTAGE.COM. Johnny Zeee and Paulie Fingers here from the AC Thundertones just wishing all friends, family, fans and staff here at OS.COM a wonderful 4th of July.

Independence Day. What a day for our country also what a day for all of us Indie or Independent musicians.

I’m finding that of all the Indie sites I’ve worked with I am truly lovin’ it here at OURSTAGE. Why? Because the folks here (staff and everyone else) seem to truly care about the music and are bending over backwards to continually improve and bring honest quality work to the site making it better and better all the time.

For the record, I used to love Garageband.com and there, the music is ranked by “reviews of each song” and the more one reviews the more points the person gets etc. etc.

But OURSTAGE makes it much simpler. Just vote honestly for the song ya like best and comments are not mandatory but voluntary. This makes OURSTAGE (to me) a better quality and more HONEST site for the improvement of Indie Artists all over the world. THAT is what Independence (be it in our country, our music, our choices or whatever) is all about.

So Happy 4th of July and happy Independence Day everyone at OURSTAGE. The AC Thundertones love listening to your music and we continually are humbled by the sheer amount of talent here. Indie RULES!! and OURSTAGE Rocks!!
