Lynn, I am so glad to see you in first place for cover songs with this wonderful version of We Belong! It radiates a special warmth and energy I'd say that is what you have added to this already brilliant song! Good luck in the finals!

Since Vicky made the request, I wanted to write a few words about the special, but very heartbreaking REASON for doing this cover song in my otherwise completely original repertoire of music I do. I have known the songwriters of the song personally for quite some time and one of them (Eric Lowen pictured in the black shirt in the photo) has the devastating and FATAL disease ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease). Eric and his co-writer on the song (Dan Navarro - cousin of famous guitarist Dave Navarro) appear on my remake of the song, as well as QUEEN legendary guitarist, Brian May, and I wanted to record the song primarily to pay tribute to Eric and his talent. Everyone (pretty much) knows who Pat Benatar is, but far less people know Eric Lowen, so it was important to me that he appear on the song with me, so I could promote and honor HIM in addition to being able to do my own take on this lovely song.

Since I don't have it posted here at this site yet, I also wanted to mention that there is a documentary style video of the song posted up on my page at http://lynncareysaylor.com/WeBelongVideo.html if anyone cares to view that. It was (and still is) my hope that I can also bring some additional awareness to the terrible disease that is ALS by my recording of the song and including Eric on it.

First off Lynn, I think your reasons for doing this song (the ONLY cover song) on your CD, are more then just generous. It's very heart warming (to say the least), that an artist with so MUCH talent (such as yourself), cares so much for their friends, and fellow human beings, as you do. I really THINK you should include your reasons for covering this song in the description here TOO, since most of your new fans here, aren't aware of your REASONS for doing a cover tune.

You have so MUCH talent, not only, first most, as a writer, but with that super sexy, and sweet voice of yours. That God only knows you did NOT need to include a cover tune on your CD. But it sounds SO VERY GOOD, that I'm sure happy that you DID! And to have both the writers singing on it, AND the super talented Brain May, not only singing back up on it, BUT jamming away on the guitar as well... heck, that's just icing, on an ALREADY beautiful cake. You so deserve to come out number one with this song, as well as so many others. I LOVE your version of this great song.

Best of luck this month, and I have no doubt, that we should see you in that number one spot once again, come time for the monthly FINALS of all the genre's here.
