Stone Mountain

by Teea Goans

A frank story from the 1940's about my mother's first marriage in the backwoods of Atlanta, Georgia. Update: My mother passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009, after having a heart attack at church on Sunday the night before. She was 79. Many of my songs were based on her life, the good and bad experiences. I will miss her greatly but I still have more songs to write that will be inspired by her and the way she lived her life. Thanks for listening to my songs.

This is the true essence of Bluegrass..real stories about pain and perseverance told with the underlying energy of knowing somehow we're all gonna get through this..Flawless vocals and harmonies and good pickin' too. Allison would be proud..Keith

I sure would like to go and visit the jackass that married your mom. We'll go up on Stone Mountain and play a little hide and go seek. (I'll bring the shovel ...)

Dark lyrics, juxtaposed with a dancing groove. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel, but I like the song. It makes you think...I get it...You've done a great job of songcrafting here. well done.
