The Aeronaut is about a man and woman who fall in love in Paris. However it is during WWII and he is a conspirator against the Nazis. They decide that the only way to run safely away together is to fly on her father's hot air balloon. Once they are in the air they taste the freedom it gives them. However, the hot air balloon crashes and lands in a suburb of France in a telephone pole. The two are separated and the woman tries to call the man over the radio but she gets no response, only static.
