The Golden Revelry makes leisurely woven, melodic folk-rock. It was formed by friends Ian Carpenter and Mark Wyman, who were inspired by vintage artists such as The Band, Bill Fay, and indie rock bands like Built to Spill and Bedhead. Each player alternates between acoustic and accompanying electric guitar. Shortly thereafter, drummer and percussionist Michael Presta came on board, later followed by bass and keyboard player Robin Ziari. The band just released a 12 song album in February 2007.
