I co-wrote the lyrics for this song with my dear friend Annie Brooks. It's really a lullaby for the abandoned illustrated in a fanciful story about adoption.
Having adopted three children, the lyrics ring true. I love the mandolin and don't run into many players who created the "picked" sound like highlights the sweetness of the instrument- by this, I mean, "One usually sees blue grass solo picking, or trilled strumming".. And your voice is beautiful.
I think you have it all..Now, just go conquer the world.
