Sung from the point of view of a poet or passerby, clad densely in the black of sadness, in the black of realization that all beauty is bound to simultaneously pass and live on in the art of the words sung with the longing to hold on just a little longer before the beauty has passed on to the listener, to take one last look and move on myself, as the lonesome hypnotist similarly does in the song...

The title told me that this would not be a cheerful song!
Don't let it put you off though. Bradley has an unusual voice, hoarse, with a vibrato a mile wide- think of a young Joe Cocker singing Dylan. It's a very emotionally effective voice,and the lyrics have a lot of poetic references. However, a pop shield would have improved the vocal recording.
