this is a song with two parts; the part that starts in beginning (called 'gateway') and the part that starts around the middle (called 'the bridge'). together, i decided to call the song 'Gateways and Bridges'. the latter would be greatly accentuated in a live performance, and places an emphasis on guitar work. i also wanted to see the general reaction of avoiding percussion on this song.
