Keep your head up, Nyela. I think that all genres of poetry and spoken word should be here... and you did a good job with the production.

When I listen to this kind of poetry, I'm listening to hear a story and a message behind the emotion. If you can tell a story, paint the picture clearly, and touch the person listening, you're effective. I think many have been affected... positively by what you've shared in this piece.

No matter what... stay positive and focused.

Let me first say congrats Nyela on WINNING the R&B contest for August. Mad props sis! Now on to the poem. Anyone who knows me is aware that I have very little appreciation for love poetry. It’s just waaaay overdone. Especially by our female poets. I love the hook, the singing and the simplicity of the music. All of that is superb. The poetry could be much better. At least for my tastes. If you have, or do this type of production with a more meatier topic I would be much more impressed. It's a great album single. As a stand alone Spoken Word piece it's better than many.
Much respect and appreciation under any circumstances Nyela.
