Bringing You Home

by Carrie Zaruba

I wrote this song on a train, on my way to my parent's house, my childhood home. I was crossing over a body of water, and was struck by the beauty of the sunset and the birds arching through the sky. I started thinking about being home, what that meant and how wounded and battleworn I was. All I wanted was someone to bring me home, so I started writing in the third person, telling myself what I wanted to hear: nothing matters, your mistakes, your pride, or the past. Just let me carry you home.

Gotta love that 3rd person, they're always supportive. Happy-dark
Great voice, I love the power when you bring it! Neat song too, this is one we've all lived many times. Excellent job, I'm a fan!
