This is a song based on a dream I had. I was shipwrecked on an island. After searching through the jungle, I came across a giant, black gate. A man appeared at my side and led my inside to a corridor of doors. These doors were portals into the real world at different points in time. A year after my dream, I wrote a song about a girl being captured by a man who is embodiment of Time itself. The gate represents the fact that we are locked into his realm, unable to escape our meaningless lives.
