"Cocaine" was written and recorded by J.J. Cale in 1975 and made famous in a cover version recorded by Eric Clapton in 1977. In interviews, Clapton often describes "Cocaine" as an "anti-drug song." In 2008, the Compulsions recorded their version of the song using drum machines, programming, backward and voicebox guitars and other effects to further illustrate the drug's dark side.
