Wooden Hill

by Steve Robinson

My mum passed away several years ago, but she's still very much with us . When we were little children, and it was time for us to go upstairs to bed, she'd always say to us--"Come on--up the wooden hill to blanket fair". It's an old English rhyme of sorts, and I always loved it (the wooden hill being the staircase, of course). Here, I found a way to work it into a song of remembrance.
