This is a song about unconditional love. It is about risking everything for truth. It is about true love at its most bittersweet moment; the moment when you say the thing you were most afraid to say and you find out whether or not it was real love in the first place. We’ve been taught since we could speak to hold our tongue. Even in love we’ve been taught not to say anything that could hurt the other person. Is love really so fragile?
