hey everyone...thanks so much for all the feedback.

we were pretty surprised to get the win in atlanta...there were a lot of great films.

it was a lot of fun to make. i don't know what the qualifications are for something to be a film noir... i watched a bunch of them in the weeks prior to shooting, but that certainly doesn't make me an expert on the subject. we just did what we could with the time and equipment we had.

thanks again everyone

I second Andy's comment. It's great that you guys received such an honor at the regional level. congratulations. I hope to see you guys make it to nationals.

Your production value is fantastic. The shots, acting, editing are all top notch. I agree with Andy about the story. You guys seem to have everything going for you--although if you had put more thought into the originality and development of your story, I would have enjoyed it much more.

I mean, it looks absolutely like a "real" film, but it just doesn't feel exactly like one.

That's my honest opinion. You've got the vision, though. Keep growing.

congrats on winning best picture at your regionals. its isnt a film noir per say, but as they stated, it is an homage to many of the elements. they put their own spice to the genre.

not a fan of the story, but overall a great movie.

your team should be extremely proud.

this is not film noir. But, it did have a bebop sort of feel to it with the singing, which made it pretty good. Not a fan of the lighting, but I suppose everyone should be free to express a different style. Also, not very original. I give it a B.

I concur with liveleg. The sound, lighting, and mood are all excellent. Surprised it's not ranked higher.

Great job! Pretty darn accurate as far as film noir goes, and the settings were fantastic, probably the best in the competition. The editing and classy dialogue really go a long way in keeping what could've been a boring film really dramatic and exciting.

Keep it up!!

It's too bad people have to trash the films that rank higher. This is a solid film, no doubt it will do better in the future.

I can't beleive you guys didn't win best picture, the one that won 'stay tune' really sucked!
