To The River

by Michael Holt and the Trophy 500's

To the river was inspired by many "dark" movies viewed throught the years. It is about a guy who takes his girlfriend to the river to possibly get rid of her, or maybe just to fish.

Instrumentally a 'mainline' rockin blues groove. Lyrically the idea is good but the repetative nature is overkill.. I was "goin down to the river" 8 times and just plain ol' "goin down" 14 times.. rest of the time "I've got"... rethink what makes the song BLUES beyond the really tight music and you're on your way. (Probably to the river huh?) I smelled a bit of KWS in this song... great blend!!! Gave ya 3 listens entirely to make sure I had a reason for that trip to the river... never found out why but I rocked the whole way.
