at times I hear some James Taylor influence, I really don't know what genre it fits, good song though.

This a genre specific contest. This song is excellent but in my opinion does not apply here.

Objection to genre placement is valid and is meant as constructive criticism..this is as I said a very good song but will never make the top 20 if not in the correct genre. I have just listened to this entire song again...Excellent but not Southern, Blues Rock or Rockabilly as genre is described...A good bit of what I think is now called Modern Rock here.

Of course this doesn't stop anyone from judging as they wish so judge on...

I think it sounds great! I don't care what genre it is. Some people don't understand some emotions don't "fit" in any pre-designated genre. Music is music and emotion is emotion. Don't you love it when the "experts" give you advice? They must be record producers! ROCK ON!
