My brother lost his dear wife of many years in a tragic motorcycle accident. Later,alone, as he stared at the walls and other things around the living room, he said to me that all these things they'd collected during their marriage had helped make their house a home, but now it seemed somehow they were turning the home back into a house. It touched me deeply and I had to write the song.
