Who's hating ? Not me !! I said the song is okay; not that it sucks or anything rude like that, so Nate, why do you accuse me of hating ?... and Nate, if you were paying attention, you would see that I am not in the music business, nor did I ask YOU how the music business "works" ! (If you had that much of a handle on the business, you'd be a star by now... LOL !) I also know that a friend is not the same as a fan... Your friends will vote for your song regardless of the quality of the song, just out of loyalty. I, myself joined to support a friend, so I'm aware of how it works. I don't hate anyone, and I have every right to state my opinion. I feel this song is a top 20 song, just not deserving of #1. So, back off, Nate !
Friends voting, fans voting, whatever. Like any facet of the music business, success is determined by one thing...what people like! If this tune has 143 fans voting, more power to her for having 143 dedicated fans that LIKE her music and vote for her. Come on, the entire music business is about building a fanbase and using it to sell CDs, tickets to shows, merchandise or whatever. So, don't hate someone for having fans dedicated enough to vote their material high...its what the business is all about!
This song is okay, but no way does it deserve the #1 spot !!! Oh I see, you have 143 friends... That explains it ! I guess there is just no way to have a fair competition based on ONLY the music, as long as you can invite all your friends to vote for you. I'm not a musician, just a fan, so I have no agenda. I'm just wondering why the best songs don't make it to the top, and a "middle of the road" song like this one does.
