We spent almost two years working in a club called Ms. Pearl's Jam house in San Francisco. I wrote this song during that period. I was hoping to create a song that was melancholy but ultimately uplifting. I wanted the solo to convey a sense of struggle, as I was fighting some emotional battles at the time. Like so many other songs, it's about loving someone. I hope you enjoy!
