Isn't She Awful

by orthewhale

A song inspired by the innocent poetry of a little boy, asking his father if the sun has a mother. "you asked if the sun had a mother. And what might her name be? Is she gentle, oh isn't she awful? And how she loves the son." Pedal steel, echo-y timpani, accordion, and childlike vocal harmonies give this waltz a dreamy, old-time feel.
