"School Tyme Hip-Hop Productions", has the backing of the Los Angeles Unified School District to do a Los Angeles based school tour in 2009!!

What Do You Get When You Add Hip-Hop To Education?
School Tyme Hip-Hop Productions, a newly formed company educating children K-8 using the art of Hip-Hop, has the answer. Mengesha “Mystro” Francis, PRESIDENT & PRODUCER, and Domanic Allen, VICE PRESIDENT, both natives of South Central Los Angeles; started School Tyme Hip-Hop Productions on February 8th, 2006.
Pre-production for their initial project is slated to begin in January 2008. The project, an education album tentatively entitled School Tyme Hip-Hop Presents: Edutainment Vol. 1 will push the limits of Rap/Hip-Hop and bring a positive outlet to children in need of an easier way to get excited about education.
The young entrepreneurs will bring an essence of School House Rock to a new generation that craves things that are more Hip-Hop. Already receiving attention from Supervisor Second District, Yvonne Braithwaite Burke which she states that, "The concept sounds interesting and innovative." They were also featured in the Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper in the front cover of the entertainment section.
The first release from the company will be a single titled "9105 S. Alphabet Blvd." The songs are true to the rawness of Hip-Hop, dipped in educational subjects. Mike Lazer of Paramount Mastering located in Hollywood, CA, who has worked with such artist as Gnarls Barkley and the Game just to name a few; has stated after having mastered the single that it reminds him of The Electric Company, a children's show from the 70's.

School Tyme Hip-Hop Productions will become a household name. Keep your eyes and ears open for the new sound of curriculum. After all you have to ace the class!
