I think the term is Americana, encompasses rock, folk, country, pop and all of the various combinations of those.
Not sure this song fits the americana/alt. country catagory; feels more like an alt. acoustic rock song… It has a strangely magnetic and haunting quality about it though; in a good way… it should do pretty well on one of the rock channels… Good luck with it… Doug
