Holy City
by Peter Daldry
My hometown Clydebank, Scotland was devastated by German bombers over two nights March 13 & 14, 1941. The two main targets were the munitions factory and the Singer plant on Kilbowie Road and the shipyards along Dumbarton Road. In the process of trying to hit these targets the bombers also destroyed numerous houses along the way. None more so than the Radner park calld "the Holy City" because it resembled the white houses of Jerusalem from afar
