Psalm 18 talks about God rushing to David's defense when life was overwhelming and stacked against him. I was struck by the imagery--God comes swooping from the heavens like an earth-shaking thunderstorm to rescue David. I've seen God rescue me time and time again when life is more than I can handle. Yahweh is my strength.
