But it was a great young filmmaker effort, and we can definitley see creativity and some spare time on a Saturday here... But don't worry, no one is perfect and we all were 'there' once...

Wow, this is the best short film I've ever seen on here. I can not believe this is in the top 20. The guns and the soldier outfits look so authentic and the camera, editing, story, and overall effort is about a C-. If you guys are saving up 5,000 to do a feature, save the money, and keep shooting for at least 5 more years to hone and perfect your filmmaking craft. No investor is going to invest in something this bad. And, 5,000, if you are lucky, will cover about a third of a "mini-DV" based feature film. If everyone is working 3 weeks for free and if you get all your tapes and gear for free, $5,000 left for distribution (if that even can be obtained) the 5,000 will barey cover the marketing costs or DVD replications and possible film festival entry campaigns - if the film sees the light of day.

Make sure that if this is a hobby, you keep it up that way. But if you are a serious filmmaker or aspiring to be, you give this short film a very harsh critique, and re-think the story, script, and idea, and if this is still what you want to do, then make sure the production design matches the caliber of the story, in which this case, your short fails and falls flat on it's face....
