This is a post 9-11 reinterpretation of the dusty old “Why do bad things happen to good people” theme, kind of a modern postscript to Whitman’s poem “Oh Captain My Captain”. It expresses a view that is commonly UN-shared by the likes of Toby Keith and other “Bushies”.
