In the first verse, my daughter’s two dogs, Takoda and Xena, are taking turns “dashing through the snow”. The second verse has my son’s pit bull, Zoe, when she was a puppy. In the third verse, all three are grown, and it’s Christmas time. Zoe is watching TV while Takoda and Xena unwrap presents. Finally, at the end, Xena howls at Zoe to join the party, which she does by unwrapping and chewing on a very large bone. It all ends with Xena tired out, laying down, but her tail keeps wagging.
