This is the most powerful and awakening message I have heard on ourstage, that those who still are suffering and dying can not afford to have others in the world ignore and wish it to go away, like those pictures on t.v. where its so hard to look at the suffering and dying going on to this day, and you want to change the channel because it is too hard to watch, you'd rather have something that makes you feel good. Many on this planet need help, need others to hear they are suffering, it takes strength of character to listen, more courage to actually support and help, at a time in our history when so many are now focused on there own survival. I actually feel hope when I listen to this song, my heart doesn't have to be looking at my own little life, but include all peoples on this planet.
Bravo Femi!!!!!! Rock-dark Rock-dark Rock-dark Rock-dark Rock-dark *******************

This song is great and really authentic! It's wonderful instrumented and the melancholic and simple melody underlines the situation of people in Africa. I can only repeat what DICARLO said. I cannot write a happy Xmas-song, if all the world around me is just pretending to be happy. People have to open their eyes for the problems in the world. It shows more strength to write lyrics like Femi did. If you wanna see the wonderful sides of Africa you can go and watch a docu at BBC.

My this-month-favorite!

This is a beautiful song, and very deserving of the #1 spot. Great arrangement, and the vocals are beautiful. I disagree with the comment below. An artist has to write what he or she feels. If the artist was feeling down, broken hearted, would you expect them to write a happy song reflecting back on how great the relationship was? Happy-dark I mean that´s actually a great concept, that very few have done, in comparison to all the sad and broken hearted ones. Happy-dark lol . You can´t ask people that are suffering to write happy songs.
My song ETHNOLOGY has an element of sadness to it, but it´s really a positive song joining Muslims and Christians together in song, and advocating World Peace.Happy-dark Sure there are strengths of Africa, and it would be a great idea to hear some songs in that direction. But if you´re suffering, and you see your people are suffering, it´s sometimes hard to be positive and happy, and write about those strengths.
This is a beautiful piece of art, except it for what it is. A beautiful song. Happy-dark

Good luck Femi.
