Darlingside's "Good Man" is about trying to do the right thing in the aftermath of an encounter with the wrong woman. Its classic-rock skeleton is peppered with mandolin and guitar twang, and the sing-along chorus is delivered with life-sized harmonies. The bridge veers into an eastern-tinged ambient swell that launches the final chorus skyward, ending powerfully but still ambiguously: "and I'm out the door."
