I wrote soldier my sophomore year of high school, about my friend Court, who joined the army and spent some time in Iraq. This one holds a special place in my heart, because its the first original song that i ever performed for an audience. I tried to capture various points of view, the mother, the friend, the wife, the girlfriend, and of course.. the politician.
