I agree with Barfly. There is a really great track in here, but the final post-production is as close to finished as the "thrown together on the computer" sketch that we have got as visuals. Get the multitrack to a good producer. You might just have a hit.
OK. First I love the concept of the song/ Male Female. I also love the simplicity of production. It's focused on the lyrics and vocals W/ a piano up front. Just really allows the energy and emotion to stay the prominent focus of the song like I believe it was intended to be. Listen to the male vocals (lack of presence) compared to the female. If this is intentional then fine but needs to be applied to both equally. It sounds like two different producers tracked and mixed the male and female vocals. The female vocals are kicking ass. The male vocals are good but lack any presence and fullness. Just A/B them. Great song with a lot of subtle underlying energy that is nicely kept in control.
