Aspiring songwriter & I had a blast re-writing this song to respond to John's version of the song. I was born and raised in Texas & I know we can all agree that John is one of THE most talented artists on the scene. I thought I'd give a bit of what i was thinking when i heard his version of Everybody Knows....he wanted one more try but i want to tell u why i don't know if i can give him any more chances....hope u enjoy. I appreciate everyone's opinions and taking the time. Once again this is my first attempt at something like this - lots of ya'll have been in this game for a MINUTE. I'm very honored to have put myself out there not havin' a lick of experience with studio time until March '09. Good luck to everyone and i'm glad that my talents can be showcased here on Ourstage. Its crazy though how people can comment negatively on other artists yet don't have any more talent than the NEXT person? But i guess that's the difference between folks that like Beyonce more than Anita Baker....its STRICTLY opinion.....Its what makes us unique Happy-dark -- Its what makes the World Go Round. The lyric change was straight but I'm not sure if this is what the contest entailed. The concept was basically ok. The pitch was off...maybe an original beat may have worked better. You have a georgeus face but stay away from American Idol
