Halfway Home

by Alicia Wiley

A song about bridging the gap between people from different cultural beliefs. If we were able to come together, learn from and except each other for who we are, we might realize that we have more in common than we think.

I find Alicia to be like a "Joni Mitchell" type artist, but, still with a sound of her own.

She has a true, smooth sultry voice - beautiful.

I wish that she would put more of her music up!

I would like to hear some of her Jazz Chops! Hear she is amazing!

Wow -- what a great find! Closest comparisons would be with Fiona Apple and Tori Amos, but when I listen to the piano styling, it's more jazz-inflected, richer, more subtle, textured and sophisticated, and when she sings, in addition to Fiona I hear bits and snatches of Joni Mitchell and Diana Krall. This is one artist who does not deserve to be "unsigned."

Really nice composition and delivery--you stand out from the rest and this category has excellent artists. Good luck!
