I think Hipnotip's a little harsh. After the first seconds where the voice and music skip, the rest of this cover is original and strong, which is a lot compared to more than half of the submissions in this contest. I don't think the artists understand the concept of 'cover'. Singing it exactly how John does, acapella or not, IS NOT a cover.

I realize that it's not perfect but I stepped outside of myself and gave something new a try
