I wrote this piece when I got my first non-used car and on the way to the dealership to get a sun-roof put in, I hit a deer that completely smashed in my hood. I came up with "Bonzai Bambi" to describe the strange experience of seeing a single deer break away from a small group to what seemed "intentionally" run across the highway as fast as possible....almost as if it were a "dare" or a bizarre suicide attempt....hence the name "Bonzai Bambi". This is a solo piece on my steel string guitar.
