I agree with Kent in that Benson had a way of playing off of the beat (at the right time)on this tune that gave it a unique feel. But if I'm not mistaken he only did it in the beginning of the tune, not through out. This sounds like a problem with quantizing the tracks to put them in the pocket. You're a very good player but your producer is off the mark with quantizing.

Hey man, I'm sure you're aware your cover of this Benson classic has serious timing issues! In addition, there's a reason why even the best guitarist don't touch Benson tunes. I try not to post negative feedback, but this tune came up as #1 on July 1, so I expected more. Keep practicing, and please don't let honest feedback deter you from your goal. That's what it's all about.
