The band started with Chile, Dom and Brad Wismayer wondering what could be done with an electric guitar, an acoustic guitar, a keyboard and a super massive hangover. And so the song Victory was born and raised from a cell phone recorded demo. Long hours leading to late nights brought the writing and recording of Victory and Favorite Fallacies. With the recording of Favorite Fallacies came the addition of beats and meats by Nate Copeland. Soon after being established as a four-piece band, Chile and Dom decided to branch off as a duo. Although Brad and Nate cried for days about it, this was only in order to speed up the writing and recording process with plans of more electronic based music. Brad and Nate’s contribution and talent was never and should never be unappreciated. But Nate should really learn how to write and record on first take faster. Up until the ending of the summer Chile and Dom recorded and finished ‘Play Along’ and only hesitated release because of re-mixing plans. In developing a ‘sound’ the aim was to capture a sense of making the very best of any situation, TYL represents a bittersweet and upbeat reflection of the past summer.
