Her Father, is a professional retired Blues Musician/Bass Player, for numerous influential, well known, Male and Female Blues recording Artists; therefore, Zai-Naffir was raised in a very artistic environment... Her stage name derives from her actual name; Zainab, which the name is of Arab origin, and heavily inspired her stage name Zai / Naffir, which is also of Arab vocab; to mean, Zai (Zay) the Naffir (Trumpet), "Zai-TRUMPET", in which she refers to herself as " A Vocal Instrument!" Zai-Naffir is now working on her first solo album, after singing with a Reggae Band as the lead singer for 3 years, and there after collaborating on other Artists projects, and working on her Acting career.
