When the Ojay's sang "Got to give the people what they want", they were not only creating a cliche, but speaking volumes about how to win the hearts of the public. On the topic of the hottest new singles in the country, the people have spoken. With production from Tar Boy (of the Grammy-nominated duo TrackBoyz) and the full support of the Derrty DJs, the smash new single "Donk Dat" from Yung Ro, has sparked a dance craze, radio, club, and internet frenzy. All it takes is one look at www.myspace.com/wildboyzbp and the videos from young ladies everywhere have been submitting, showing off their assets, to know Ro's movement is serious. The recent success is all a result of business savvy and an entrepreneurial spirit rarely seen in young artists. As the CEO of his own imprint BP Ent. he's used T.I.'s Swagga Tour, showcases by Derrty DJs, TJ the DJ, Bigga Rankins and DJ Kaspa, radio mix shows, press releases in Ozone, Radio One's The Frequency, Swagga magazines, and The Leak Magazine cover story, and his YouTube promo video "The Grind" to max out the popularity meter on iTunes. The fruits of his labor are sweet and so far include his song being #1 on Hot 104.1 WHHL in St. Louis,MO on the countdowns of Radio KATZ and Radio One's 105 WFXE in Columbus, GA and receiving 3 nominations at the 2009 Traffic Music Awards. The initial reception hasn't made Yung Ro content, as the Spring and Summer of 2009 look to be even more promising with the release of the "Donk Dat" remix featuring Chingy, City Spud (of the St. Lunatics); "Push It Back", another Trakstar banger featuring Tydis, "Sydekick", which has T-Mobile considering him for their 2009 campaign.
