Yung Menace is a young talented, gifted, and focused rap artist born and raised straight out of Brooklyn, New York. The alias, Yung Menace, comes from his real name Dennis Mitchell, which is also the name of an old time cartoon character, Dennis the Menace. The name signifies him perfectly because he’s young and he’s a menace when he gets on the mic. His style, not in rap alone, but just his style on the whole makes him different from many other rap artists. The way this young artist looks at things and puts words together allows you to visualize the situation transforming to reality, similar to a movie. He might be young but that doesn't say anything about his lyrics, because as he goes along he always switches up his flow. You're never able to figure out what’s next because something new always comes along as he creates. What makes him so special is very easy to figure out. He’s in it for the love of it. His music edge would allow him to connect with the young generation easier because he is also apart of that group. Kids cant relate to what most rappers do and talk about in their lyrics now a days because what rappers do now is gangster rap, fly and flashy jewelry, and nice cars; Not that he hasn't created songs like that but its all about the way he brings it in his music. When you listen clearly to his music you can tell he’s not trying to give kids the wrong idea to go out and do wrong, but to show them the harsh reality of how some people have to live and that impossible is nothing.... Due to the fact that Yung Menace is under the age of twenty-one people constantly and seriously doubt his talent, however and not only is Yung Menace one of the most proficient and unique artist but he is also extremely advanced for his age. His age also denies his right to be viewed seriously in the hip hop world through performances, showcases, lyrical authenticity, and his thriving struggle is also being unnoticed. Do not be alarmed, this causes his hunger to grow rapidly and maintain art in its purest form. In 2008, Yung Menace debuted his single “Diamondz” to the world and went even further and invested thousands of dollars straight out of his own pocket into making an official music video so that the world could put a face to the talented young star. His single has reportedly been heard on HOT97, Star Radio 99.3FM, BCAT Radio, and a few other stations. He also successfully got his music video played on BET.com, OnSmash.com, WeRunBrooklyn.blogspot.com, and several other websites and blogs across the net. Yung Menace is not trying to portray any specific type of image in the rap game, he's just himself; a person that’s down for whatever. This young artists lyrics does not all come from life experiences. Music is like his journal, everything he hears, does, learn, and witnesses turns into powerful music because its not artificial rap. Music itself influenced him; in fact everything does; the streets, the people, the environment, and life itself. All of these influence Yung Menace to create music for the world to hear. Every rapper has his/her main purpose in wanting to be in the music business, whether it’s to become famous, gain money, or just for the love of it. Well Menaces main purpose of rapping is to become apart of music itself. He wants it to the point where if hip hop is mentioned so is he; he just wants people to feel his music and where he’s coming from. He plans to add more young unknown talent to the rap game by bringing artists that aren't noticed. He hopes to gain a lot in life through rap. He wants to be one of the youngest to own many different assets and become extremely helpful in the hip hop community. He also hopes to gain the confidence and support of the people to make more powerful music. As you can see his name might be Yung Menace but he has a very mature mind for a young man. Like he loves to say to everyone, "I'm as good as it gets and I’ll only get better, you heard"?!
